These past two weeks went by really fast!
I keep forgetting to blog about stuff, I don’t have that much time to spare. But I guess that’s good. If I was unoccupied I’d probably start thinking about how much I miss everyone back at home.
The road I cross every morning to get to the tram
The weather has been really good lately! Shot of the clouds from Augsburg city. Notice the old houses, Augsburg is so famous for.
Like, sometimes when I’m sitting in the tram on the way home after a long day and it’s raining, I suddenly remember that time my friends and I threw a surprise birthday party, and it was raining, and we and the birthday girls where totally soaked by the time we got home. Oh, yeah, and we dropped some of the cake on the street, and how everything went wrong, but somehow turned out perfect anyway… And I remember how my sister and I would carve pumpkins every year and how she’d be my helper in the kitchen and we’d bake a pumpkin pie and how nobody actually really liked it, so we’d scoop up loads of cream on top. And then I remember that now she’s alone at home and I hope that she’s not missing me as much as I’m missing her.
Something i really love is all the trees everywhere, it's so gorgeous with all the colors ♥
It’s been really great here, I almost feel like I could just be one of them, a part of the crowd.
You know, the thing I’ve been hearing the most about myself is: “Bianca ist so lustig/geil, geh?”
Which I think means: “Bianca is so funny, huh?”.
I’m not totally sure if it’s funny as in “special” og funny as in “a good sense of humor”, but I’m choosing to take it as a compliment…
Traaaam 😀
Half of the people I greet every day (as in a “Hallooo!” or just a casual nod of the head) I still don’t know the names of. I feel really bad about it but it’s kinda late to ask them: What was your name again? (Besides I’m not sure how to say it correctly).
Most everyone knows who I am, cause I’m the only exchange student in the school this year. (Around 990 students) Also, I’ve got competition, cause the exchange student last year (some guy from Massachusetts) had an average of 1.0 (an A) and he could speak 7 languages!! (I only speak five… Yeah, I’m counting french as well, cause frankly “five languages” just sounds that much cooler than “four”).
Posing in the yard with a tree cause i can.
Last week I… I don’t really remember what I did, exactly. A lot of studying, anyway. There was also a super pretty full moon ♥.
In the weekend I went winter-shoe-shopping with my host sister. Found some über nice shoes for when I become famous.
Also, I saw a Jysk Sengetøj!!! It’s called “Dänisches Bettenlager” here, though. Denmark♥
Sun behind the buildings close to school
It’s weird with the rest of my family being away to China. One wouldn’t think I’d actually notice, since I’m the one who’s not at home in the first place, but actually I did have a lot of contact with them without knowing it. And maybe just that feeling that I was “left all alone in Europe” was kinda scary. But I hope they have and awesome time! Wish I’d been able to go as well, I don’t get to see my Asian part of the family enough. Or any other part of my family, besides my parents and sister, actually. Huh. (Daddy!!! You hear that?!)
Also helped with a delivery for my host moms catering service. It was pretty cool.
Anyway; guitar is coming on all right, choir is nice, we performed a concert in the church this past Sunday. We have some really talented singers amongst the students! And although at first I thought that singing in Latin was totally absurd, it’s actually super beautiful and suits their / our voices really well.
I joined another extra curricular activity: Graphic Design. It’s pretty cool. Right now we’re just drawing but i think we may move on to computers soon. The school has a few in the basement :’)
We’re only four in the class though. Oh well, it’s cozy. 😀
The unfinished portrait of my friend ended up looking strikingly similar to Diana Agron from Glee, or is it just me? 😉
Today our English teacher was really excited, cause he’d visited another school that was a bit more modernized, and it was so fun to see how excited he was about “all the possibilities that came iPads and computers in the classrooms”. Oh, I’ve realized how lucky I was to grow up in Denmark. But I’m soo happy I did. Never realize what you’ve got before you lose it, ey?
Some guy had brought his street vender instrument thing with on the tram!
Anyway, have a great weekend, see yaaaaa xx
